I have had hard time to replace my old Delta tub spout. The current copper stub out nipple is 2 3/4" long from the wall. I bought a Danco universal tub spout, but couldn't install it yet. It seems that I will have to remove a mental adaptor from the current copper nipple to use the new one, but can't turn it around at all.You can scrub it with a toothbrush and a solution of white vinegar and water.
