Allis Chalmers 540. New guy here. I have a 540 articulated loader that someone stole part of the hydraulic pumps. I have the big pump that bolts to the engine but not the two smaller pumps that bolts to it. (3 piece pump originally). I have had no luck finding a used original pump and was thinking of using a different setup.I seen that while doing my nightly AC search on Ebay. I thought it was just a truck painted orange with an AC logo on it. I guess if I would have looked I would have seen the Allis-Chalmers written on the engine. Had a 160 for about 20 years, never had a problem with the 3 point lift system, but did have the main hydraulic filter mostly plug up. The filter is located in a metal housing laying horizontal underneath the fuel tank on the right side of tractor. I believe you have to remove a side panel to access.Quote 53D17. Report Post. The thermostats they sell now are correct. Our 8070 and 7060 were both running warmer that they should with re cored and an extra row of tubes in the radiator. Took out those junk thermostat and replaced with the good agco ones and temps came down. Gotta really work the 8070 to get it go anywhere near 200-210.96. Gender:Male.
