Otherwise there are several screws you have to take out beside the valve cover an firewall that are a pain to get to. There are 5-6 nuts behind the glove box and the whole thing comes out. Much easier IMO.Remove the 1 nut retaining the upper left corner of the evaporator case to the dash panel. Disconnect the vacuum supply hose (s) from the vacuum source. Push the grommet and vacuum supply hose (s) into the passenger compartment. Remove the right and left lower instrument panel insulators.

It is possible to do without pulling the dash right out, but all the bolts need to be undone, and the center console out. Also, the EL heater box is exactly the same.canadiankid93. Any update here @Gemheart Currently mine is getting looked over for either a leak in the evaporator core or the expansion valve. All this after replacing the condenser last year.
