My solution was to lightly scuff the circumference (removing some Nitron finish) with a 3M Scotchpad, then lube it. I did not permanently remove or change the O-ring for a smaller OD size. They worked smoothly after that.
Then, I use my P320 compact and sub compact's own takedown lever as a tool to pry up the lower front of the trigger group from the grip. There is a notched out area in the inside of the grip that lets me get the take down lever's outside facing arm (the flat part of the takedown lever) underneath the lower front of the trigger group.
In the P320 armorer's course they taught us the super simple fix for it. Sorry in advance for the cruddy cell phone pictures, but here goes: I recreated the problem by installing my completed slide on my FCU and grip module, minus the takedown lever. For stubborn takedown levers : 1) Wear gloves or use the Sig Armorer "SIG Tool". 2) Lock back the slide. 3) Push up on the end of the guide rod. 4) Rotate lever to 6:30-7:00. 5) You're in business. I dropped out the magazine, racked the slide back to show an empty chamber and to lock the slide back, then swung the take down lever to 6 o clock.But like others have said, you may need to wiggle and use some excessive force to pull it off. Slowly push the Slide forward until you feel the Striker Pin barely make contact with the Sear. With the pistol pointed in a safe direction, slowly pull the Trigger to lower the Sear. First time cleaning and reassembling, and I think I did two things wrong. The take down lever was in the 6 o’clock position and the guide rod was in the wrong orientation. When I pushed the slide back on, he takedown lever moved to the position you see here and the slide is essentially stuck and won’t continue backwards or forwards. Lol. Sigh.

Sometimes just turning clockwise while pulling will get it to come out sometimes is a twisting clockwise and counterclockwise plus pulling and wiggling. It’s not an easy push/pull thing. I’ve found that the Sig Armourers block really makes P320 take down , FCU removal a breeze , it seems especially useful when fitting a tight grip module like the Wilson Combat . I now use it each time I disassemble one of my 320’s . Before that I used the baseplate of a magazine to work a tight take down lever . yes!Takedown lever stuck.
