Good durable tractors, with the 8 speed nearly a bullet proof transmission, long running reliable engines, and inexpensive repair parts. Biggest problems I have seen with the x600 and x700 series is the powersteering. Later Ford added an oil cooler (to the x610 and x710) which prolonged the life of the seals in the systems.First problem. Ford 6600 leaks hydraulic fluid at the base of the steering column/plate. I read somewhere that this is a common problem and resolved with an O-ring. Does anyone have any info on how to address this? Second problem, and much more immediate.
