Here’s the skinny of it. Ultra greatswords will always have a higher ar stat, and higher posture damage, but they are slow af. Greataxes have slightly lower ar and posture damage values but attack so much faster. You can get two greataxe hits by the time you can get one hit with the greatsword. Assuming the below is correct, the greatsword will on average out-damage the greataxe, and they both greatly out-damage the battleaxe.
